CHRIST CHURCH VIENNA

Christ Church, the Anglican Church in Vienna (Church of England), seeks to be a welcoming and caring church, providing a spiritual home for all generations that respects diversity and invites people from every walk of life to worship God, to grow as Christians in faith and understanding, as well as to participate in God’s mission to the world.

You can learn more about our mission on our About page.

"Eternal Father, whose Son Jesus Christ ascended to the throne of heaven that he might rule over all things as Lord and King: Keep the Church in the unity of the Spirit and in the bond of peace, and bring the whole created order to worship at his feet; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever."

—Collect for Christ the King

EPIPHANY
From the rising of the sun to its setting, let us pray to the Lord.

That the people of God in all the world may worship in spirit and in truth, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, hear our prayer.

That the Church may discover again that unity which is the Father’s will, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, hear our prayer.

That the nations of the earth may seek after the ways that make for peace, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, hear our prayer.

That the whole creation, groaning in travail, may be set free to enjoy the glorious liberty of the children of God, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, hear our prayer.

That all who with Christ have entered the shadow of death may rest in peace and rise in glory, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us commend the world, to which Christ showed the way, to the mercy and protection of God.

With the pandemic still affecting Austria, it is important that we are vigilant and mindful of our Christian duty to care for one another. While we are continuing with in-person services out of equal concern for the spiritual and mental health of our church community, we are employing the following safety measures while in the church building:

—FFP2 masks covering both nose and mouth are required
—please use the hand sanitizer dispenser when entering the church
—social distancing is mandatory
—services will be capped at 45 congregants (registration required for 10.30am and special services)
—reduced singing in services
—anyone with symptoms is encouraged to stay home and consult a physician
—everyone is encouraged to test regularly
—while traveling to/from the church, everyone should be mindful of local guidelines
